Now BAIF has successfully demonstrated Artificial Insemination in goats at door step of farmers as like Cattle and Buffalo. The vast germplasm resource of the country consists of 34 well-defined breeds. BAIF initiated buck semen production from 2018 with an objective of improvement in goat breeds of small and marginal farmers to help them making quality germ plasm availability. Presently goat (Buck) semen doses of different types of goat breeds like Barbari, Beetal, Berari, Black Bangal, Jamnapari, Osmanabadi, Sangamneri, Ganjam and Sirohi being produced at Wagholi semen station.
