Sirohi Breed

It is a dual-purpose breed also known as Majithi, Parbatsari, Devgarhi. The name is derived from the Sirohi district of Rajasthan. Ajmer, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Sirohi, Udaipur, Rajsamand districts of Rajasthan is breeding tract of this breed. The coat color is predominantly brown with light or dark brown patches in this breed. The horns are slightly twisted and curved, directed upward and backward. Small in size (<15cm). Some polled (without horns since birth) animals are also present. Flat and leaf-like drooping ears are its distinguishable character. The average body weight of this breed is 42.86 Kg and the average milk yield of this breed is 81.5 Kg per lactation.
